The hotel is in an excellent position right at the heart of the picturesque township of Tarbert. It is very comfortable with an eclectic mix of Asian and Scottish decor. Our breakfast was excellent and was freshly cooked in front of us in the open plan kitchen/dining room. The host,Alistair, is welcoming, efficient and cooks a very tasty breakfast!

Wonderful warm welcome. Delightful house with exquisite furnishings. Excellent service. Very clean & comfortable room. Delicious personally cooked and served breakfast from a widely ranged menu. A special place to stay in a lovely village. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful, and the host was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast was truly a delight. The location is good, with free parking close by. All in all, this was the nicest place we stayed on our five-week uk holiday trip.

The elephant statue on the landing! :-0

A very competent and friendly manager/owner, who produced a good Scottish breakfast. Our room was large, the beds comfortable, the location convenient. We used it en route for the Islay ferry, and were glad we had chosen it.

It was hard to see the sign, because of restrictions placed on it as a listed building.

Spacious rooms with good views. Manager friendly, helpful with information on the local area. Breakfast cooked to order in front of you.

A first class guest house, providing everything necessary for a perfect stay.Excellent location for ferries or mountain exploration.Alistair is the perfect host and provides an excellent and substantial breakfast.I wish I could offer some useful critiscism, but there's nothing to critiscise.A lovely house, well managed, the perfect stay, thankyou.

The house is not easy to find if you are in a car. The front door is sandwiched between shops on either side. However on entering it is like the TARDIS a large and very high class B&B. The house is immaculate, is tastefully decorated and contains many interesting art works many from the orient. Alistair is a delightful host and we found him very good company. The breakfast was first class and the black pudding the best I have ever tasted. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My only critisism would be that the beds are a little hard for my taste.

The Guest House had been renovated and decorated to a very high standard. The owner was on leave but the stand in was very friendly and carried out her duties with obvious experience and enthusiasm. The cleanliness of our room and en-suite, together with the communal dining and lounge areas, was to a very high standard. The art work throughout the Guest House was wonderful. The breakfast was very filling and consisted of the highest quality local produce.

Like quite a few hotels and guest houses there was limited space in the en-suite for our personal toiletries. Additional shelf space would have been nice.

The host was a fount of knowledge and the place was magnificant. Fabulous location for exploring and good food along the harbour front. Breakfast was outstanding.

At the top end of the price bracket for a b&b - justifiably - but I am tight!!! But it could easily be called a boutique hotel and then it would 'feel' less expensive

Quiet, friendly atmosphere with a clean, spacious and very well prepared room. The breakfast room and kitchen were open plan again very neat, tidy and spotlessly clean. The guest house is very well kept throughout.
